Choosing the Right Height

Match ring height to your objective lens and platform. As a quick guide: lenses under 42mm typically run fine in low rings on bolt guns; 42–50mm needs medium clearance; 50mm+ or AR flat-top rails generally require high or extra-high rings. When unsure, go slightly higher you can always add a cheek riser but can’t lower an over-mounted scope without new rings.
